Private Functions Solo pipers can add a special touch to any Birthday or Anniversary celebration, but nothing beats the impact of the entrance of a pipe band to a packed function suite. Club events vary greatly, but in recent years many Golf Clubs and Bowling Clubs have used pipers to formailse the occasion of either the Club Opening Day or the Captain's Play-In Day. New Year is probably the busiest day of the year in the piping calendar. As a business, Piping Services Scotland provide pipers, drummers, dancers, mini bands and full pipe bands to over thirty different venues for playing at the 'Bells'. Most functions are still played by a solo piper, however more venues are choosing to make the oaccasion slightly different by adding further musicians or dancers. Amongst the organisations and venues who regularly use Piping Services Scotland for these types of functions are: The Builders Merchants Federation; Williamwood Golf Club; Eastwood Golf Club, East Renfrewshire Golf Club, Clarkston Bowling and Tennis Club; Fairfield Bowling Club, Eaglesham Bowling Club; Erskine Hospital, and also various Pubs and Clubs around Glasgow and Edinburgh, especially through the G1 Group and Cathouse Promotions Limited. Burns Suppers The Partners of Piping Services Scotland are all capable of delivering the Address to the Haggis, doing so on a regular basis, and have further experience of speaking at Burns Suppers, for Welcomes, Toasts to the Lassies and Immortal Memories. Further to this the Partners are also able to provide contact details for recommended Burns speakers, if required. Some of the venues and organisations that use Piping Services Scotland for Burns Suppers and other related Rabbie Burns entertainment are The Turnberry Hotel, One Devonshire Gardens (Glasgow), Pollok House (Pollok Park, Glasgow), The Sandyford Burns Club, The Eglinton Arms Hotel (Eaglesham) and New Lanark Mill Hotel.
