Isle of Man

One of the drummers from Andy's original Boys' Brigade band, who played throughout the 1980's, moved to the Isle of Man and was partially responsible for resurrecting the 'Cair Vie Pipe Band' (Isle of Man Pipe Band).

In 1992 Cair Vie invited Williamwood Pipe Band to perform at the island's annual folk festival, the Yn Chruinnaght. This was the beginning of a strong on-going friendship. Andy, Dave and Iain, often supported by other band members, visited the island regularly to run workshops for their band, judge competitions, attend their annual dinners and perform at many private functions.
